The free tool separates source-file inspection from import. It gives the dealer an evidence package before BoundStack asks for a migration conversation.
The browser checks type, UTF-8 encoding, structure, tested limits, and a local SHA-256 fingerprint. Selecting the file does not upload it.
BoundStack suggests likely fields, but critical mappings require review. Generic CSV is supported; named vendor profiles remain unverified.
PASS, WARNING, and BLOCK findings explain what was checked, where the issue appears, and the next action. No record is modified.
Filter findings by severity, search them locally, and keep a redacted JSON or printable HTML report with the rule version and file fingerprint.
Each finding has a stable rule ID, category, row reference, explanation, and suggested action.
Detect malformed records, duplicate headers, inconsistent widths, and unsafe resource use.
Surface missing or duplicate serials, full-row duplicates, and incomplete identity fields.
Flag ambiguous dates, invalid calendars, disposition order, and conflicting record states.
Catch formula-like values, control characters, coercion risks, and encoding artifacts.
A CSV can open cleanly while still carrying field ambiguity, duplicated identity, impossible chronology, or source-system assumptions the destination cannot infer.
Auto-mapping is a suggestion. A source “date” or “status” field may not represent the destination concept.
Leading zeros, exponent notation, formulas, and encoding damage can survive into an apparently ordinary export.
Duplicate serials, repeated records, and multiple disposition representations require a reviewer—not silent deduplication.
Imported totals alone do not prove field coverage. Reconciliation needs mappings, exceptions, hashes, and spot checks.
Migration gets the records in; BoundStack remains the ongoing workspace. Automated import is intentionally outside the public V1 preflight.
